unique re-designs
An eclectic range of salvaged & vintage furniture and home accessories
customised using collage and a modern twist on the Victorian art of decoupage.
Lou Rota is fast becoming known for her witty transformations. Whether it’s
a vintage French desk or a salvaged polypropylene stacking chair; a 1950s
mirror or 1960s glass coffee table, each piece is unique...
...insects march across the grain of an old table top... tired chairs are
overgrown with roses, nettles and thorns... translucent black butterflies
flit over foxed glass...
Lou Rota's work taps into the zeitgeist for customisation as well as reflecting
a healthy regard for recycling. All furniture is finished using durable, environmentally
friendly lacquers and varnishes.
New for 2007 is a range of vintage and salvaged plates, hand-customised and
‘fired’ in a domestic oven. Suitable for decorative use or as
occasional serving plates, these are one-off pieces at affordable prices.
Small, medium and large plates £20/£25/£30.
